This Privacy Policy explains how MediaHub (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service.

1) Public Profiles & Sharing (Important)

MediaHub profiles are public by default. Anyone may view a profile page, including non-users. Profile links may be shared by you or others (for example: WhatsApp, social media, email).

Third-party services may generate link previews (title/description/image) from public profile pages and may cache those previews. We cannot control third-party caching or refresh timing.

2) Information We Collect

Account info: email address, verification status, account identifiers
Profile info (public): display name, handle, bio/tagline, category, links you add, avatar/profile image, header image
Usage analytics: profile views, link clicks, and search interest signals (to power charts and suggested searches)
Security data: IP address and basic device/browser info (primarily for abuse prevention, rate limiting, and security logging)

3) How We Use Information

Operate the Service (profiles, search, discovery features)
Generate analytics (charts, trending modules, suggested searches)
Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and account misuse
Enforce policies and maintain platform safety
Send essential emails (verification, password resets, security notices)

4) What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your email address publicly. Your public profile content (name/handle/images/bio/links) is visible because you choose to publish it on a public profile.

5) How We Share Information

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate MediaHub (for example: hosting, email delivery, security monitoring). We may also share information if required by law or to protect users, the platform, and our rights.

6) Cookies / Session Storage

We use cookies (or similar technologies) for login sessions, security controls, and core site functionality.

7) Data Retention

We retain information as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Security logs may be retained for a reasonable period to help prevent abuse.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. Use the Service at your own risk and keep your credentials private.

9) Your Choices

You can edit your profile content at any time.
You can remove links you added.
You may request account deletion by contacting support (subject to legal/security retention requirements).

10) Children’s Privacy

MediaHub is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11) Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest version.
